ICIT’S SIXTH ANNUAL RETREAT 30.3.09

This event was held at the beautiful gardens of Green Meadows in Santa Cruz. The theme was “Teach Us To Pray” and participants learned all about the different types and techniques of prayer i.e. meditation, bible based prayer, affirmative prayer, healing treatments and praise and worship. The general sentiments were that it was an uplifting, relaxing and spiritual experience, an event to look forward to, as it was getting better and better every year.

Wow! Rev. Cheryl it can’t get better than that. The retreat was everything I could desire in a retreat. The ambience, the facilitators’ sharing, the food, the fellowship one with another and the alone time. [coming apart awhile was a truly blessed experience.]
The high point for me was Bible Based Prayer. Working together our group was able to compose a prayer based on scripture and we all have techniques/ tools to compose our own prayers, which I feel would have greater depth.
This is my second retreat and I am certainly looking forward to Retreat 2010

Everything was great about this retreat. My alone time was valuable due to the spiritual food we got in the morning I had a lot to reflect on as I sat under a tree on my mat, in that beautiful garded. I thought it was a little too long though. I had trouble concentrating after 3 pm. Next time why don’t you end around 3 pm. I will be back next year.

ICIT’s spiritual retreat was a treat. The theme was ‘Teach us to Pray” and we were given some new and powerful prayer techniques. At last I have some knowledge of how to meditate. It was the first time I did it and I didn’t know it was so easy to get in a relaxed state. The food was great and so was the fellowship. Thanks Rev.

I thoroughly enjoyed the praise and worship singing. The fellowship was great and the ‘alone time’ spent amidst the beautiful gardens with the singing of the birds and other beauties of nature. This was truly a spiritual revival for me which left me feeling peaceful and uplifted. I would advice anyone to take part in this great annual experience.
