                                                        August 2, 2009

Every year Trinidadicarol-joseph-speaker-of-the-day-20083ans celebrate  Emancipation Day on 1st August.   On this public holiday we   commemorate   August 1, 1838  when slaves  were emancipated in the British colonised Caribbean islands.

There is the big African cultural event and also the parade / procession in the streets of  Port Of Spain. People are  in their African finery and strut about tall and proud like African royalty.

At ICIT we choose to be part of this celebration annually.  This year will be no different. We will will be meeting at our centre in St Augustine on August 2, 2009 for a grand time. Join us as we too come together in our African finery for an evening of fun and enlightenment.

Carol Joseph (in photo above), B.A. Dip.Ed, M. Ed. history teacher and lecturer at University of Trinidad and Tobago will deliver the feature message for that day. The theme is ‘Emancipate yourself from mental slavery’

Yes, we will be singing our Bob Marley theme song ‘Redemption Song’

Yes, we will be having drummers

Yes, we will be having our usual competition for best African male and female outfit outfit.

So come on down and bring some friends with you and learn how you can live a life of mental, emotional and spiritual freedom. Free from stress, limitation and lack.

 UFBL’s Third Statement of Faith

We believe that we can bring this Kingdom forth by practicing the universal spiritual principles handed down through the ages and taught by our Way-Shower Jesus Christ.

Article 3:    Follow The Way-Shower

A good supervisor will save his employer from loosing time and money by teaching employees skills for effective performance. He will also save the employees in his charge, from personal injury by providing a handbook of safety rules and teaching him how to apply them.

In many ways the good supervisor is a saviour and he saves employees by equipping them with skills and knowledge. In many ways his job is to show them the way to avoid loss of pay, job frustration, physical injury and how to achieve a sense of accomplishment, and satisfaction on the job. The supervisor is a way- shower and a saviour.

The same is said of Jesus. He is our saviour because he showed us how to save ourselves from a life of bondage, misery and hell. He showed us how to practice the spiritual principles of prayer, forgiveness, love, healing, prosperity, overcoming death and many other principles. So Jesus is also our Way- Shower.

I am the way the Truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. John 14:6

One way to access God and know God intimately, is to follow the guidance of Jesus who shows us the way to the Father. Start following the examples of Jesus, The Way- Shower. Start applying these examples in your life. Seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness (right-use-ness) and the abundant life will be yours.

Jesus said “Follow me,” but can we really do all that he did? The healings, the miracles, practice non resistance even when provoked etc. Well, do you believe his words? He said we can.

John 14:12 KJV. records Jesus as saying “He that believeth on me, the works that I do, shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do Yes! He said that we can do greater works than He did. Has man already started doing greater works than Jesus? I would love to hear your take on this. Please comment.

PRAYER

ACKNOWLEDGING YOUR POWER

I release the pattern in me that attracts limitation. I create only good in my life. I choose to experience great success and happiness for I am born to succeed. I am born to be happy, fulfilled and to experience an abundant life. With God’s divine power in me,

I can be anything I choose to be.

I can do anything I choose to do and

I can have anything I chose to have

I claim this for myself in the name of Jesus. Amen

UFBL’s Second Statement of Faith

We believe that such a life is within the reach of each one of us and the way to its attainment begins with the realization that the Kingdom of God is within us, waiting for us to bring it into expression.

Article 2:  Is this abundant life really possible?

Of course it is!  Look around you and notice that there are people already experiencing a healthy, happy and prosperous life. If they can do it so can you.

So you had a hard life. So what?

So you were abused. So what?

So you didn’t finish school. So what?

That was in the past. You have a choice whether you want to continue having a hard life; continue being abused and whether you want to go back to school. You can create your new life now. It starts with you saying ‘I want to, I am willing to and I am going to start now.

The moment you say YES!  The universe rushes in to support your request.  The moment you say ‘I am ready and willing’ you have activated the God power in you and God begins to work in you and through you. Of yourself you can do nothing but it is the Father in you that will do all the work.

Turn to the Kingdom of God in you and call forth your divine faculties of wisdom, love, understanding, spiritual will, strength and power. They are not outside of you, you do not have to pray to get them, and they are already in you.  Activate and develop them now by beginning to use them.

God is waiting on you to bring this abundant life into expression.  You deserve it, you are worthy of it, God loves you and wants the best for you. Accept this Truth and claim it now.

Prayer of Realization of God in Me

There is only one presence, one power and one activity in this universe, in my mind and in my life, God, the good omnipotent, omniscient and omnipresent spirit.

I turn to the God presence in me and I draw on my divine Intelligence and understanding. Divine Intelligence in me is now showing me how to claim my God given health, wealth, happiness and peace.

Divine understanding is now revealing to me all that I need to do to achieve my prosperity. God is now revealing to me, how to bring His kingdom forth on earth.

I listen to the voice of God within me and I am guided toward my highest good in all areas of my life. Spirit of the living God, Unleash your power and wisdom in me RIGHT NOW! Amen.
